LUCINDA LYON-VAIDEN, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., M.T.O.M.
Lucinda Lyon-Vaiden graduated Summa Cum Laude in receiving
her Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of
Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California
in 1993. She is Board Certified by both the National and California Boards and
has been practicing Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine
and Therapeutic Massage in Washington, DC
since 1994.
Lucinda holds a B.A. in Foreign Language (French, German) from Roanoke
College (1975). She served in the
U.S. Army as a German linguist stationed in West Berlin
(1975-1979). From 1980 -1981, she trained and worked as a medical assistant for
a general practitioner in Gig Harbor, WA,
and then returned to Crofton, MD
to work four years in a busy pediatric practice. In 1985 Lucinda began at the
Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) as senior conference program
coordinator in the Educational Services department, where for 16 years she
conducted conferences across the U.S. and Canada,
as well as in London and Paris. In 1990 she completed her certification in
massage therapy before beginning
the masters program at Pacific College of Oriental
Medicine. Since 1995 she has had a busy
practice in the Dupont Circle
area of Washington, DC.
